At least 22 people killed after bus crashes near tourist resort in Egypt

At least 22 people have died and 28 more were injured after a bus crashed near an Egyptian holiday hotspot.
The fatal incident happened in the south Sinai region of Egypt this morning.
The bus smashed on the Dahab-Nuweibaa highway,around 50 miles north of the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh.
Emergency services dispatched 20 ambulances to the scene,where the wounded were given first aid before being taken to the hospital.

Start your day informed with Metro's News Updates newsletter or get Breaking News alerts the moment it happens.Several victims were pronounced dead at the scene.A spokesperson for Egypt’s ministry of health said: ‘Upon receiving the report,the central operations room was activated,and 20 ambulances were dispatched to the scene of the accident to evacuate the injured and provide first aid.’The nationalities of the victims have not yet been officially confirmed yet,but reports in local and Jordanian media said up to 10 Jordanians may have been among the dead.The bus was carrying 22 Jordanians,Jordan’s official Al-Mamlaka outlet reports.
